Author Topic: importing dts into blender?  (Read 875 times)

is it possible by any means to import a dts file into blender

You have to go through an application that can import them, and then export them in a format Blender can import. There aren't many applications that can do this, but I'm sure someone here can direct you to a good one. I believe Shaper used to be able to do this; I don't know if the revived version still can.

tried with .dts

The modelling program Shaper can do this; but unfortunately it seems it's abandonware. If you can find it you can use it. Shaper is not dead actually, wow. Didn't expect that. Anyways, it seems you can download the beta of the new Shaper and use that to import dts files.

This pinned topic has a rare approved case of piracy. I don't know how valid this is now since Shaper is now available in a new version, but the topic is still pinned:

What exactly are you trying to import?

First of all, get Shaper (It's the fourth download from the top).

Next you'll want to install it, import your .dts, then export to Milkshape ASCII.

I think Blender is able to import Milkshape ASCII.

Your file won't have working animation and the scaling will be all off, but you'll have the model and that's what matters.

Edit: I'm late.
