Looks really terrible, uncomfortable, and blinding.

First is subjective, second isn't really that true, third is no.

Second only may be because they are large, but it's like any other contact.

Third is like any other contact, they have a clear part in the center to see out of. Your pupil is already black.

No, that's not exactly it. People here just frown upon signatures on the end of posts. Not sure if you can be banned from it, but you'll be viewed more positively if you don't.
