This video is a biting commentary on the evils of religion and the virtues of atheism.Explanation:At the beginning, the yellow guy witnesses an act of cruelty and runs away crying. In his weakened emotional state, he is approached by a religious zealot (the butterfly). The butterfly immediately reinforces the yellow guy’s belief that the world is full of hatred. He then gives the yellow guy a message of hope. The butterfly’s laugh at 1:36 represents his unstable state of mind.At 1:47, the butterfly again mentions hatred in order to keep the yellow guy in a state of weakness. He then tells the yellow guy that hope can be found if he follows him.At 2:02, the butterfly uses name-calling to further enhance the yellow guy’s hopelessness. He also exploits the yellow guy’s confusion. At 2:13, an alternative path (atheism) is shown. The green guy and the red guy consider following the yellow guy down the path of religion, but they reject this idea in favor of doing something that they want to do (eating chicken). This represents free will. The butterfly then introduces the yellow guy to his followers, who all seem nice and friendly. However, 2:42 reveals that they are actually quite unstable. At 3:09, the butterfly rejects the yellow guy’s interpretation of love. Religious sects stress uniformity among their members.“You must save your love for your special one” translates to “No love before marriage.”At 3:19, the butterfly again exploits the yellow guy’s doubts and his lack of self-confidence.At 3:29, the story of Michael is an attempt to discredit atheism, but it is very short and lacks structure. It uses fear in order to keep the yellow guy in line.At 4:21, the king (representing God) is introduced suddenly. Notice that the butterfly’s followers are now wearing robes. The king has rules that his followers must obey, “or he becomes angry.”At 4:40, the anti-religious message becomes much more explicit. It becomes too much for the yellow guy to handle, and he returns to the real world. At 5:04, the atheist interpretation of love is presented. A simple act of kindness is all it takes to restore the yellow guy’s hope in the world. There are no conditions or strings attached.During the credits, the representation of God is burned, and the man who started the fire simply walks away.
thats what everybody said about the second one
I saw some people in the comments saying that the whole thing is a brown townogy to religion. Usually I find these theories pretty nutty but this one actually made quite a bit of sense in my opinion.
i think that the "STILL MISSING" posters are referring to the kickstarter videos in which they are kidnapped
My favorite part:Dog: "And you love us, too!"*Yellow guys pets dog*Yellow: "I love you, too, furry boy!"Dog: "Hehe, HARDER"
