move while camera is on?

it's possible to do it with a bit of code

for build purposes 3rd person usually fills the niche

gameplay wise, if you want a fixed camera that travels with the player ( top down / 2d)
search 2d or topdown player in the addons section

Use Script_Controlplayer.

type /controlplayer while in F8 mode, then you can move your guy!
