Hope your grandmother feels better too
How old is she anyway?
Last time I remember about 80, apparently she also was fine with me taking over there.
As for her condition it's pretty bad, but I've grown up with my grandparents in the hospital or in bad shape my entire life so it's pretty normal for me and I'm aware she may not be around at some point too.
If you're planning on renting it out to people other than your close friends, make sure to fix it up first. Nothing attracts awful tenants more than an awful house.
Oh we are gonna renovate this thing like crazy trust me, alot of the furniture will be sent to storage and we'll be putting our own stuff in, some things need fixing, the basement is going to be a suite I think aswell.
Renting out rooms to your friends sounds like a real quick way to lose those friends
I'd do my best to make it affordable and I'd most likely pitch in too.
yea you probably don't wanna rent it out to friends, maintain a professional relationship with the renters
From what I heard it's good to start with friends first, but then again Im not sure how it would be living with my friends for a while.
Be prepared to have to pay any and all damages/repairs needed to keep the building in code out of your own pocket.
Also, be very carful in choosing who you have rent from you, being a landlord is a real bitch.
It's not fun, you can lose all your money quite fast on bad tenants.
Actually I think my parents are going to be paying for alot of stuff, housing wise, I'd still have to pay bills too however but typical stuff like electricity and junk.
I'm mostly jealous of the cars
I'd post a picture if I had one of em, he kept them very tidy and shiny too, almost drove one to my graduation actually heh.
