Author Topic: I just got a VPS, now what?  (Read 662 times)

I ordered a VPS with CentOS and I have no idea how to set up my blockland server.
Help will be highly appreciated.

If you don't know anything about Linux, then you've probably just wasted your money unless someone is willing to spend 2+ hours helping you set it up personally.

Luckely it wasn't one of these pricy vps's but I there has to be someone who can help me out?
I believe Ducky Duck had a VPS with linux.

If you just bought it you could probably still cancel the order and get a refund. You could save someone else a lot of hassle by getting a Windows VPS, which you shouldn't have too much trouble setting up yourself.

http://servermania.com/ has some well priced Windows VPS's. You'll probably need 2GB of memory at a minimum.

The problem is... I don't even have & US dollar.
Now you are probably asking, How did you buy the vps then? Well, It was only 55 cents.
But it has 2Gb ram wich is nice.
But the thing is I just want to host back without spending too much money. Like almost nothing.

Might want to just host from home then. VPS hosting is just generally a pretty expensive route.
