Servers better or worse

In my opinion servers about 1 or 2 year ago were better that servers now. SO here is my question, are servers better 1 year ago than they are now? /Discuss

I think they were much better when I joined, mid-v19. Then I noticed that the servers started to slowly decrease in quality and kind of just... drift off into hell.

i thought the servers were ok in 2010. but then again, all i play are family rps and love rps

Yeah, if I was to answer this, I had more fun on servers a few years ago.
But, back then I was younger, had fewer responsibilities, could play for longer, and had friends who were also actively playing the game who I could join.
Today I'm older, have other responsibilities that I have to attend to, can't play for as long, and my friends don't play the game so much (mainly for the same reasons as me).


Also to be fair, the most fun I ever had in Blockland was playing on MY server or on my best friends server, where we did what WE wanted to do and people joined us.
Playing on other people's servers was fun for the most part, but we always enjoyed our own servers more. That would be the same today.

Not really, ive just notice that in my eyes, the servers i see pop up and the builds i see being used is worst that what i used to see come up.

I'm not sure why people like to pull the 'hur it's just nostalgia' crap every time someone says the quality of something has reduced. Believe it or not, it is possible for a game's online userbase to degrade in quality after a while.

There was a time with much more diverse, populated servers. There was more than one (stufftily built) prison RP, the top server wasn't always the same boring randomizer gamemode that never changes, there were actual populated TDM's with some good gameplay that wasn't buttforgeted for realism or new mechanics, ect. Nowadays we have the same garbage unomptized unmaintained up-dateless underpopulated servers. There's tons of servers just floating around with 0 players. Nobody knows how to host a decent server.

Yes, also I've notice that good server with high add-on counts don't get very populated either because player now don't like to wait or loads, even i its not that many files. Idk that might just be my experience.
