Author Topic: So I'm looking to upgrade my current PC  (Read 437 times)

I'm not posting this in the Personal Computer thread because I don't get answers from there for whatever reason.

So currently I have a HP Pavillion p7-1258, and I'm looking to get better accessories.

However, I have no idea what to buy, as I'm looking to not fry my PC.

I am looking for the following things:
  • Better game speed
  • Better game graphics support
  • Better overall PC performance
  • New mouse
  • New keyboard
  • New headset

I'm not looking for something too expensive or too cheap.
Let me know what you guys have.
Thanks!

what's your budget?

probably just a little bit at a time. like 1 part every once in a while.

i'd say around $200-250

Well a 300W power supply won't give you much room for upgrade. You'll want to spend like $50 or so on it. Then you'll have to reconnect all the cables and it could be a pain if you don't know what you're doing.

As for a keyboard, look into mechanical keyboards. They're really nice to have.
As for a mouse, you don't need to spend a lot. A mouse with adjustable DPI is usually pretty nice to have. This is what I have.

The GTX 760 is a nice upgrade, but your CPU may or may not bottleneck. I don't know a whole lot on the A8 series.

But you seriously will need a new Power Supply. Almost any 550 watt or above works.
