Ladios, if you haven't already you should connect your gutter to the storage tank. We have one that runs from our gutter straight into the tank, it really made a difference in how much water we have.
Right, once I install a gutter onto my trailer I will do that. First I have a few other things that are taking priority, such as getting the water to run off the roof at all, instead of into the trailer, allowing for a gutter to actually have an effect.

if you were still in the yay area you'd only have to deal with 20 pounds of rain as opposed to 10
I like being in the yay area, but i think more rain would actually make me more frustrated.

Maybe teach yourself to juggle?
I only have one juggling ball, and it belongs to my cat, he doesn't like me using it.

do you live in like salton city or something? stuff sounds awful as hell.

Thats right, I had managed to forget about that part. I slept really poorly last night.
Good luck with the roof leaks, we had that issue with an old trailer we had. It was so bad at times we'd have 3-4+ buckets and have to move furniture around. If you need a quick-fix I'd just toss a tarp over it and put some weights down, it'll hold it for a bit. Siliconing off holes helps as well but I'm not sure on how long it'll actually hold. Best bet is to redo the roof but that is a pain in the ass to do.

Yeah we had to sister some rafters that rotted away and did a whole bunch of crap in the drizzle of the past few days, I am glad we got most of it done but we never were able to finish the silicone, just got some temporary roofing tar in place but ran out so theres a bunch of parts just as bad as before we fixed it. At least the roof isnt sagging in the middle anymore cause that was looking scary and i was waiting for the day the roof caved in from the water, now its just kinda dripping everywhere evenly.
We started off with a tarp when we first got the trailer but quicky discovered it doesn't do stuff, especially as the canyon we are in accentuates the usual gusts of the area, ripping any protective covering to shreds.

This morning I was supposed to gorrilla tape all the remaining holes shut but because the rain does not stop, the surfaces never dry and the tape never stays and I wasted almost half a roll before saying forget it when i almsot slipped off the roof this morning.
The redirection of the water flow also caused it to pool up over a pullout portion and I tried to fix it with some wood boards to redirect the flow but they wouldnt catch the water so that took several hours to get into the current format, which is barely better than just letting it pool up ontop of the thing as before, but oh well and I dont know how much I set back our repairs with my stupidass fiddling of the thing this morning.

Because I have no vehicle or transportation however i cannot even get to the store to purchase the roofing repair materials i need to finish this in the rain, and even if i did,i still have no money because i havent recieved my repayment for volunteering as a pollworker this past election.

But I guess i have no loving right to complain.
I have somewhat a roof over my head, rent free, and somewhat of an internet connection, slow and limited as it maybe(it cuts off downloads that last too long so i cant update any of my software for programming, which is part of the reason i recently decided to just program my own game engine from scratch) and i dont have to pay for food usually unless I wanted something specific, and even then if I cook it myself usually I dont even need to do anything but ask for spare ingrediants.

Hmm the weather channel hourly forcast says its supposed to be thunderstorming right now but it isnt, at least that would be more entertaining. Oh well I probably shouldnt wish for it or anything cause i dunno what would happen if the trailer got struck with everything in it being so wet O.o

dude so where do you live?

in a trailer out in the boonies of california?

Yikes man, watch out for those sagging parts. We had a spot that sagged a bit at my old place, luckily it held (collapsed after our home was condemned). It had sagged after a horrid ice storm.

You should call up someone asap if its that bad, its really risky to be wasting even a day when it comes to roofing, its not exactly a job you can mess around with. As for the tarp I'm not sure what to tell you, I guess more weight could be an answer? If you have cinder blocks those will work if the beams can support them without causing further damage, we've had 20pound weights on a tarp and that sucker wouldn't fly off even in the worse of storm winds.

Right now my best advice is to try and keep it as dry as you can and to keep an eye on it. Having a stuff-roof is a pain in the ass, been there with many roofs. I learned what to do however because my father was a roofer and he passed some of his skill to me.

Good luck with the rerouting and such, you might have to jury-rig something up in the end given your current situation though.

Since when did trailers only exist in the boonies?

i said boonies only because it seems like he's a good distance from any sort of town
and trailer because he said he lived in a trailer

I know he said he lives in a trailer, I was just wondering why you thought it was in the boonies.

We live just a few miles away from probably the definition of yuppyville (up a silly road into the hills so it feels much more remote, the disntance wouldnt matter so much if I had a car to travel it. I do not like walking (or biking) along a highway) and the people there are so shocked to hear of someone amongst them who doesn't benefit from central air and an unlimited T1 internet connection, or even cellphone reception, its quite funny some times. Walking around there you get a feel as to everything wrong with our materialistic society, even more the blindess it causes towards the experiences of others.

So are certain homes in the Malibu hills. It just depends on what you have access to.

Yeah the parts of the tarp where we placed the bricks were fine, the bits that had to fit over the stupid broken ac units at the top were the weak section, Our yard for the past year has still looked as though it is covered in blue confettii

California's a crazy place yo

he's off the water grid idk man im sorry
I'm not angry, I was just wondering. It seems to be common that people expect trailers to be away from everything. I personally come from trailer park after trailer park, some right in town and some trailers so far from town its ridiculous. It varies like any other house.

Its always pretty funny to see peoples reactions when they figure out that people still don't have access to those things haha. My hill just got actual internet access about 2-3 years ago, still doesn't have any cell phone reception aside from Verizon.

you should get some ping pong balls and throw them in the buckets like a baws.
