Airbus made a concept video for a 2050 airplane that was actually going to have a part of the plane where the roof is transparent (there were veins through it but good enough for me).

there are wires, pipes, and various other random stuff going through the ceiling and walls of an airplane that nobody wants to see.

plus, there really isnt any cheap, see through alternative to whatever the hell they make airplane cabins out of nowadays
