Author Topic: Downside to converting Blockland key to Steam?  (Read 851 times)

I know the most important one is having to run steam whenever I want to play Blockland I think, right? Are there any bugs that will hinder me from actually playing something? Will I lose all my add-ons, etc.

Not able to run dedicated servers  :panda:

Uh, no, you can still use your key with non-steam blockland even after converting to steam. It isn't really "converting" in that sense

There are no downsides. You can still run Blockland without Steam.

i'm not really concerned about this.

ok, i wasn't exactly sure.

As far as I am aware, if you have purchased your key directly and convert the key to Steam you can still use that key.
I've converted one of my other keys to Steam and still run just fine using the regular launcher.
But as for the add-ons and stuff, you can just copy it to the Steam's Blockland directory.
If you're running a mac, there is a problem of preferences not saving, I believe it's a problem with Macs not giving Blockland the proper permission to write in the library directory where Steam installs Blockland.

basically this

there is really no reason to not buy the game off the website here.
because you basically can use it to have both steam and non steam versions to play.

ok thanks guys. also, forget steam for having you to submit a code because you want to login in to the browser on the same computer you have steam downloaded and logged in on.
