Game of Thrones is 40% research.
Ya but the garbage plot and bad acting is a boner killer

Yeah, that is why it has been nominated for and won many awards including best drama series, best writing and best actors.

Ya exactly. Proves my theory of show some boobs and wave some sword around on tv and boom instant success

Well, One of the actresses is the person who played "Tonks" in the Harry Potter movie, I can never watch a harry potter with her in it without thinking of Game of Thrones.

Yeah, if you had maybe watched the first episode, rather than part of an episode part-way through a different season, you might've enjoyed it more, seeing as you'd actually be able to understand who everyone is and what's happening.

Your approach is like turning up half-way through a movie, playing on your phone for 5 minutes, leaving, and then saying the film was terrible.
You've not even given it a chance.

Also, consider reading the books. They're very good. Gives a good insight into things you might not pick up/understand in the TV series.
The TV series also doesn't follow the books 100% (especially from Season 3 onwards), so you're not just reading what you just saw and vice versa.

Well, They books I may read but the TV series just doesn't do it for me.

I recommend reading the books.

So far, they are fantastic.

If you enjoy book one (Game of Thrones) then I would say you should try watching the First Season of the TV series.
Out of all the series it is the one that follows the books the most, and it's not lacking for drama or action or iconic moments.
And it does have a great cast. The child actors are obviously less experienced, but they're decent. And they grow into it more as the series moves along.
