Get CCleaner for Android. It will help you reduce ram usage and aid in the removal of unwanted apps

yes, this or actually just getting a unofficial rom at this point.

lollipop and kitkat dropped their ram usage by a stuffton which makes android run on practically any low ram device now.

That's how it's done anyway, but I meant, after this potential "get rid of Google" this will be dropped as well.  I wasn't saying Cyanogen doesn't have Google Apps in it's current state.

from what they're trying to do is basically fork the code and make it their own at this point. it's open source, ya know.

kindle OS is android but amazon made it their own, so with firefox OS.

i like CM the way it is stop it cyanogen ceo :(

then simply ignore it. You never have to touch G+ if you don't want to.

There is nothing to be complaining about here.

Well what would happen roughly depends on why/what they actually want to do this/with this. If it means completely unlinking Google from Android, including Google accounts and all that jazz, I'm down for it.

If only you would not be nagged about it everywhere until you completely set up your profile, and when you want to comment / receive comment replies.

stock AOSP (android open source project) is on the nexus devices

but no

the variant running on Nexus devices is a customized version of AOSP with several of the stock Android apps removed

that's their plan essentially from the looks of it. i just wish another big rom was on lollipop already and not CM...

nonono these guys r dumb let the android vet explain.

-AOSP explanation snip-

I see. So it allows you to further customize the OS, and even allows overclocking? Sounds nice. I think I accidently overclocked my Android 2.1 LG phone. When I first got it, it was decent, but slow at times. Well one day the GF and I got into an argument and I threw the phone at the wall, and like really hard. I am surprised I didn't crack the screen. Ever since then it runs really fast, not sure why O.o

I know I don't have to use it, just seems silly to have a Google+ account that will never be used. Why don't they just give you the choice to opt out of the Google+ if you know you won't ever use it or simply don't want one? You'd think Google would wanna save on data: being the "efficient" business that they are. Think about all the data in unused Google+ accounts they could be saving

Or even this. I didn't even get a chance to upload my video yet that day, and it was already wanting me set up Google+ bs
