Don't the one Port did connect to its own Master Server, rather than the one the recent revisions use now?

Something about the Auth system, and if you accidentally forget to turn your internet off, the master server will receive it and you will be crashing clients.

Maybe Badspot could fill us in, 'cause I"m unsure if that custom Master Server will affect that.

If you don't use AT&T, yes. Anyone who uses port's masterserver on AT&T has trouble because the site it's hosted from is blocked by AT&T IIRC.
