Source engine games give me high disk usage when loading servers

This is quite an issue, because once I join a server, it's usually luck if im able to click the cancel button.
Not sure if this is a memory issue too, because I can't open the task manager as this occurs even.
Is there some way to fix this?
I didn't think this would go into the games section because it's more about my computer than games.

Ive had this issue on every computer I've played a source game on. I think it has something to do with source engine
