Author Topic: How to make the faces and decals download with the textures from the server. (Read 1129 times)

Example: i want to make a home based server with private add ons, prints and decals but i notice that faces and decals doesnt load like textures, everyone needs to download it so it works. How to make it so nobody steals The faces or decals. Sorry if it looks selfish i apologize.

Help would be grateful :)

No. Faces and decals are mean't to be entirely client sided.

The system should really be improved. It's completely pointless as it is now.

Maybe a client-sided system that when you join a server, you sync your decals with the decals of other users of the mod in the server.

The problem is, people would do a whole lot of research decals and stuff, and then you'd be forced to see them. This is why decals are client sided.

But is there a way (like when you load add ons) that you make them download decals and faces, but when they are gone you cant use them?

I know that when the original music downloading system was introduced that it just downloaded the .ogg files from the server. Maybe there could be a preference that allows you to opt in for downloading decals and faces. RTB had a basic GUI downloader iirc. Maybe someone could create something like that?

Well im asking if there is a way (console thing or chat or rtb), not suggesting one to make that thing.
