This is why Japan won't let us have any of their games. They're way too loving difficult and requires skill most of us don't even have.

It's awesome and I love it.

Once you get used to the control scheme, Voltex actually isn't terribly difficult. The song maps are great and it's easy to identify what you should be doing by ear and instinct.

I'm considering buying one of these (if I ever get the money) and grab a copy of K-Shoot Mania. I'm obviously not at this skill level yet, so practice will do me good with one of these.

They're expensive, yeah. I'd like to a build a machine sometime, but it's not really enough of a priority. Frankly, I want to build a Technika machine more, but a touch display good enough for it is going to cost loads.

What about the servers, too? I don't know if there's any PC version of Technika available, so that may get in the way.

Only servers I know of are for Pop n' Music and Beatmania, and that's Programmed Sun, which was taken down quite a while ago/is closed. It just has a image that says "THANK YOU FOR PLAYING".

EDIT: Also, the song in this OP was recreated in like 3 different emulators.

REFLECT MUSE has one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A996rpDWPA
Along with BMS/Lunatic Rave 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPjlaryTagE
And a modded Infinite version for K-Shoot Mania, which is even harder than the offical EXHAUST chart: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xikEQ5bgXQ

EDIT2: I ALSO forgot that it has a Stepmania version which is extremely difficult on PAD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDWYxUUpKVQ
And has a boss in something called "I Wanna Be The Burst (Insanity boss)": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4cfsqHJGPU

So, simple and short: This song is so awesome it's in almost everything.

Modern arcade machines are very easy to emulate because frequently they're just fancy Windows machines.
The Technika Service has been down for a while, so that's a few songs missing, but that's not really much.

Who in the actual forget would be high enough to actually try to pad that stuff?

Even they would probably break their legs trying to bracket all of the jumps and hands and weathering through the crossovers & doublesteps at 234 BPM.

It's been a while since I listened to this.
This kind of music sums up what I listened to when I was 14-15
