Author Topic: Adding the regular Blockland application as a Non-Steam game  (Read 894 times)

Since only 1 key can be linked with each Steam account, I wanted to add the regular Blockland application from the blockland.us website as a Non-Steam game. The only problem is the Blockland.exe from the documents folder will not work as it requires you to launch from the BlocklandLauncher.exe in the Program files (x86) folder. Simply adding the BlocklandLauncher.exe will work, but it will say im not in a game when the actual window launches.

Starting it from the .exe in the Documents folder will give an error. (Image is blank due to Gyazo, it just says start from the BlocklandLauncher.)

EDIT: Steam overlay will not work in the main window too.

if you add both as non-steam games, would it transition from one to the other?
or does it just open up BL after the launcher, and say you're not in any games?

Set target to blockland.exe and add ptlaaxobimwroe to launch options

Yeah, I've already chatted to him about this

It does work because I've tested it, he showed me that it didn't work, but I've also told him to take its time to launch

I tested both ptlaaxobimwroe and ptlaaxobimwroe -steam -noconsole in the launch options and in the target box like you told me over steam. It launches correctly and it does display that im currently ingame, but the steam overlay function doesn't seem to be working, even after waiting after it finishes authenticating. Thanks tho, at least I can play it through steam but I really want the steam overlay to be working if it would be possible.
