Sorry for the doublepost, but I just got a score of 2.8 billion and I feel like this needs to be shared.
Notice how my radius is the sum of 2 adjacent powers of 2, as my previous radius was a power of 2.

Out of my three tries (1, 2, 3), this is the best.

So I wrote a program that draws perfect circles for me.  I consider this legitimate due to some considerable mental gymnastics of the actual meaning of "freehand" - here, it means that my hands were free from the task of drawing the circle.

Regardless of its legitimacy, it bested my best score of about fifty thousand - although only by a slim margin.
