Author Topic: Can not identify network.  (Read 714 times)

Hello once more.

Today when i got home from school and started my Pc, it said it could not identify the network. So i hit troubleshoot and it told me to restart, so i did. that did not work. so then i restarted both my router and modem, but that didnt work either. Some other devices said the same thing even though they have full bars or whatever. I use an Ethernet connection by the way.

it also says that the network is public, i can change it to priavte but that doesnt work.

Well, my first guess would be to ask if you're up to date on internet payments?

Ja.

contact your internet service provider and ask
once internet was out for my entire area not so long ago

Yeah contact them and ask what's up. It might be just something on their end.

your ISP has nothing to do with whether or not you can connect to your router
they only way they'll do anything about it is if it's their router that you're renting

Have you changed anything recently, like internet hardware or settings?

I think this is the error I got when my PC was configured with a static 192.168.0.x ip and I switched to a router with a 10.0.0.x scheme

Judging by OP's age (no offense) I don't think he did anything to it, so I assume someone in his house did something or the ISP is just derping.

nothing to do with ISP here
Internets don't grow two legs and run away, someone is responsible, if not ISP then OP/housemates.

The connection issue is between his computer and his router
your ISP has nothing to do with whether or not you can connect to your router
So, nothing to do with ISP
