I have learned from hosting that you cannot be "nice" when handling who gets admin, moderator, or regular, you can't be generous to people and just hand over power. People will use this as an advantage, same for taking it away, this isn't a world where you can murder someone and be let out of prison because you are "upset" or want a "second chance." You are the host, you are in control, your word should be the last. Don't let people control you like a puppet. But don't abuse the people who bothered to join your server. If you want to give people power, give it to them, if they abuse it then take it away from them immediately. Have you noticed that all good server hosts are extremely strict with who gets admin and who doesn't?
Take my advice, someone who abuses power is someone who doesn't need it.
