Author Topic: First person join Lag, Do you have this?  (Read 1365 times)

I wonder if there's any logical reason behind why it doesn't. If not, it should generate on startup.

To shorten load times when putting up a server, perhaps. That data isn't needed until a player joins, so it's almost like "why would it be generated before a player joins" kind of deal.

It always happens, but the best thing to do when it happens is to not touch your keyboard or interact with Blockland at all, that way it won't have to deal with you interacting with it while it generates the manifest. If you were to click, it would add to the time of lag.

Forgot to mention, While hosting through the game (non-dedicated) if someone where to join the server while you the host were loading still (many can actually join in this time period depending on if your loads take long) you won't have the lag. I just experienced this just about 5 minutes ago, and remember this happening a while back as well.

So I wouldn't think it has anything to do with this if there was no lag for the players who joined with you.

it actually does lag, that's why players usually leave when they are the first person, because they are waiting for the loading bar to begin, but because you are lagging on your side, they have to also wait for the manifest to generate.
