Author Topic: OpenAL games have repeating audio, I have no idea what to do anymore  (Read 563 times)

first instance, second
now, it happens on postal 2, which is another game that runs OpenAL and now civ, but idk about that running openal
I've tried reinstalling windows, reinstalling drivers and pretty much everything else and it audio is broken. This happens on blockland and what it does is the audio randomly stops after a certain time, its random and it will either stop or repeat over and over
I have no idea what to do at this point and i'm so loving pissed right now.

this is either caused by your sound card or it may be unsupported

Your sound hardware is malfunctioning if all forms of software fixing hasn't helped.  Either buy a sound card to slap into a PCIE x1 slot or buy a new motherboard.  The cheaper option will obviously be the sound card.

everything else works fine though

bump, I didn't have the realtek audio drivers installed from my motherboard specific website, did so and deleted openal from said directory and now postal works properly.
thanks koopascooper

this may be a weird question, but have you installed any controller drivers for gamecube controllers/wii u adapters?
