Author Topic: What course should I take for college/university?  (Read 1027 times)

I'm going for a Computer Science degree, unfortunately I have to take theoretical mathematics, including but not limited to statistical brown townysis and calculus. I can however take applied calculus, which is about more real-world applications of calculus rather than all theoretical stuff.

I was thinking of taking PHIL 1290, Critical Thinking. Was thinking it could help with my problem solving abilities in computer science and math.
I had to switch out of Computer Science because of the bullstuff all-encompassing "Calculus for Engineers" that my uni offers. So much theory that it physically hurt.

I will say, take at least one philosophy course, it opens up your mind to the people you'll be designing stuff for.

I plan on taking intro to psychology 2nd year, it's a spanned course so itll probably take up all my electives that year

gender studies
pls no

I also got rid of calculus 2 as one of my electives and put in PHIL 1290, Critical Thinking, which should help later on down the road, and I'm thinking of putting that astronomy elective in too.

A philosophy class on critical thinking sounds like the biggest bullstuff of all time.
