Shifting won't work.

Sometimes, I can't shift, sometimes, I can.
Since building is really important to me, can anyone tell me what's going on?

Notes:
Im using a windows 8, this started ever since I got it.
I figured out that the pressing numpad 4, numpad 6, numpad 8, and numpad 2 does the same action of whatever you have the arrow keys binded to.

make sure that number lock is on when you're building

sounds like a numlock issue

since it's either numbers, or arrow keys/other things based off of it
