Author Topic: iCloud Photos caused Window Explorer to restart over and over  (Read 632 times)

i posted this on /r/applehelp:

I recently ran into a problem where Windows Explorer would restart over, and over, and over, and I couldn't figure out the problem.

I uninstalled things, changed startup items, nothing.

I noticed iCloud Photos was taking up quite a bit of CPU usage (11-17% is a bit much), and so was iCloud, so I stopped it.

I haven't ran into explorer crashing since.

Before it was mentioning problems of not being able to access a "downloads" folder, but I didn't know if that was relevant.

I wasn't sure if I should post this in /r/applehelp or /r/windows10 or some other variety, because I wasn't sure if this was welcome here, or there, it was confusing.

If I can get some help, or if this doesn't belong here, PLEASE let me know.
Thanks.

so apple software still has more problems.

i literally did a system restore for this stuff and uninstalled a bunch of stuff that may have caused the problem I now have to get back.

ugh

I hate to break it to you but if you rely on icloud photos your going to have to wait until its updated to properly support Windows 10.

Or I guess you could try to launch the program with compatibility mode set to Windows 8.

if that's the case it's being removed from startup

Don't worry though, I'm sure apple will fix this unless their going to be starfishs again and uphold bugfixes until the iOS9 release again.
