Author Topic: Server problems  (Read 1552 times)

Hello. I could create listen servers just a few days ago and everything worked smoothly. But just a couple of days later, my friend tries connecting, but only gets a window saying something like 'Sending punch packets' or 'Server could not verify your Blockland ID'. I've tried port forwarding, but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

P.S.: If I connect to his server, I get the same message. I can post logs later.

Click the "Query Internet" tab when you're at the server list and see if you join your friends server.

That only refreshes the list.
He is already able to find the server on the list.

Also, other people can join my server randomly, but my friend can't.

Something similar has happened to me in the past before, all I do is wait it out, usually it takes about a week for the server to start working again.

-Bump-

Well, I've waited for about 8 days since the problem started and I'm really starting to consider my 5 Euros wasted...

Isn't there another way to fix this, except for LAN?

I sometimes get this, I think its to do with your internet. When I went to my mates house I brought my laptop. But when I hosted at his, I couldnt even join my own dedicated server (These are servers that can be hosted without you staying on them). Then again this has also happened when my blockland becomes corrupt. I'm not sure if having addons affects it though. Just try redownloading blockland and it might work. Only thing I can suggest other than this is to wait for a bit.

I'm bumping again.

It's been nearly a month now and the server still refuses to work. This is getting annoying and I'm seriously thinking I wasted 10 Euros for nothing. We only wanted to do private builds and other things, but...

Someone please help, because I already reinstalled my Windows and tried waiting it out, but it still doesn't work.

Did you port forward?

I did, but it worked without port-forwarding before. I think my internet provider doesn't allow port-forwarding, though.

Hmm...
Try to host a server, then post the console.log file from the same machine you hosted from.

Here it is :

The only way the log would be helpful is if your friend tried to connect, If he did try to connect by my previous phrase you should understand the console didnt issue any form of packets to him let alone acknowledge his connect attempts

You might have to call your ISP and ask them to open the port. I had to do that before when I had stuffty satellite internet
