hodot, i'm going to assume you're still using a beginner trombone. if so, you're probably using a small shank mouthpiece. trust me, that high e should be easy to play with a mouthpiece that small. i have a large shank mouthpiece, and i have to play a g above the staff:

you should invest in a trigger trombone. they have better sound, and you won't have to jump down to 6th and 7th position because you can just use the trigger.
my marching band doesn't march trombones anyway. only marching baritones. they're more compact and the valves allow us to play faster music.
