What would happened if I loaded Garry's mod on my Mac

my computer is about to be fixed and I only have this Mac. I really want to play one of my games on steam which is garrys mod (I heard blockland is buggy on a Mac) I have a ton of addons and I'm wondering what will happen to them.I'm suspecting it will take a huge download

Your addons will redownload from steam workshop. Don't you need other games installed to use their content tho? So you'll get a lot of errors. But other than that it'll be the same game

All I need for my addons is tf2 hl2 and its episodes and hl:source

you have to download all the addons when you first start the game, so expect to wait a few minutes

It'll probably work fine. I mean, if it works fine on Linux I don't see why it'd be different on Mac.
