Self made music files aren't working

I made a bunch of music files, I put them all in a .zip file and a few inside the .zip file in a folder. I then used them, ( they were ogg music files ) and then when I went to play them, I heard nothing. Anyway to fix this?

are they mono and below the file size limit

I'm pretty sure music has to be out of a zip and inside Add-ons/Music/ otherwise you'll hear nothing.

I took them out of the .zip file and put the music into the music folder and I don't hear anything

Are the files smaller than 1MB and mono?
