Author Topic: When is your fall break?  (Read 2265 times)

I start University on Monday and have no break until 18th December but then I'm off until like early February so it's all good.

I cant stop school for stuff.

i have a 1 week fall break somewhere in october but that's only because my summer break isn't 3 months long, but like 6 weeks

I like that the yanks have an absolutely handicapped school scheme.

This year, I have this timetable:

March -> May: Term 1 (9 Weeks)
May: Holiday (1 Week)
May -> July: Term 2 (9 Weeks)
July: Holiday (2 Weeks)
July -> September: Term 3 (9 Weeks)
September -> October: Holiday (1 Week)
October -> November: Term 4 (9 Weeks)

There's 4 terms a year. Each is nine weeks long (Primary Schools and High Schools do 10 weeks). You start at the start of the year and you end at the end of the year. I dunno why America has its idiotic giant holidays and odd patterns. This one makes sense and is consistent.

America has stupid timetables and South America has stupid timetables and a stuffload of holidays sprinkled in the months.

What happens from December to February? That looks very similar to an American school schedule besides the season shift from north to south.

What happens from December to February?
Technically it's just free-time. I guess if you're going to school the next year you can think of it as extended holidays, but during that time most schools are closed to do maintenance and training and post-November anybody who doesn't have any further school has more-or-less graduated.

So you get a week off in September, then a week off in October.

Do you get weeks off in December?
Fall break you dumb titty
