Author Topic: Assassin (short film)  (Read 582 times)

This is my first ever blockland video that I have made and I will continue to make more videos but what I need is your feedback and what you people think about it. Obviously everyone's first isn't very good but here is mine:

Its a short film and its 1 minute and 30 seconds long. Big thanks to whirlwind for making the Film bot mod you can download that here

so what did you think of it, was it good? was it bad? post bellow and give me some suggestions, thank you

I'd rate 7/10. I won't complain about your frame rate or shaders since it's your first first blockland video, but maybe next time set your in-game resolution to 1280x720 just so it's HD.

Will make sure I do this next time, but for the shaders part I don't think I will be able to use shaders in the future unless I upgrade my PC so for now I can't use them. Is this a bad thing?

No, having no shaders isn't bad, I used to be unable to run shaders higher then minimum, until I got an Alienware, but there's probably tons of other players who can't run shaders higher then minimum, your choice if you wanna waste your whole college fund on a new computer

Try to improve up on your camera angles. Zoom in a bit more and more your camera around, don't just keep it still but turn it around a bit.

Don't use Movie Maker. There are a bunch of free trials for all good programs out there, I'd recommend installing one and trying a quick project inside of the time limit you have.
Another downside is you cant have multiple soundeffects in a single video, you'd have to reimport an already-rendered video. Very tedious. Videos need sound, so yeah. Ditch movie maker asap.

I also thought that the video was really silent, do you know anywhere I can get some ambiance so that the film isn't boring?

and for a start I might have to use Movie maker if I get lots of people viewing my work and subscribing to me then I would move on to a different software
