anyone have some good resources to learn java (website, book, etc)?
do you already know another programming language or two? if you do the official documentation would probably be best
maybe... idk what the documentation is like for java.
but this seems pretty nicea quick google search for "java tutorial" can find you a lot of websites
also, related, but only marginally
I use PyCharm for python, and it's wonderful. so Intellij IDEA (both made by jetbrains) is probably at least as good, or even better, since afaik it's their biggest product
I actually didn't know until a few minutes ago that java was open-source
I was on the fence about whether to learn java or C# before, but I just made up my mind ;)
(finding
libgdx the other day didn't hurt either)
