Author Topic: Will pulling an all nighter reset my sleep schedule?  (Read 446 times)

My sleep schedule is forgeted. It's 5 o'clock in the morning and I can't fall asleep. I probably don't fall asleep until 6 or 7 anyway due to how forgeted my sleep schedule is (I also have sleep insomnia) and I don't wake up until 3 AM. That includes today. So I've only been awake about 14 hours anyway. I've never actually pulled an all nighter so I'm going to ask: Will it fix my sleep schedule or will it still be forgeted, also how much will I probably sleep in the next day if I went to bed at something like 10 or 11? I don't have school or anything so is it worth it?

Its just gonna get worse. If you havent gotten any sleep, or only manage to get a few hours, try to go to bed earlier the next day.

>kill yourself
yeah that works
ot: depends for other people imo, from what you're telling me it sounds like you would be better off staying up to reset it

I think it probably would work, I do something similar when mine is out. After the all-nighter allow yourself extra time to sleep to make sure you do actually catch up.

Well I went to sleep anyway and, surprise surprise, I woke up at 3 in the afternoon again feeling like garbage.

Option 3 is looking really good at this point I'll probably pull an all nighter tomorrow night since tomorrow I have a course and I can't afford to stay up all night tonight.

Stagger naps from earlier to later in the day to ease yourself into a proper schedule.  Assist it with 1-2 Melatonin pills for the first three days, then when you get to your desirable starting bedtime, take 3.

I just missed a test because I apparently am incapable of napping.
All nighter will reset, but be careful. Get a good sleep on either end.
