Author Topic: How do you make your gifs go right?  (Read 531 times)

So, I was going to put a snipped part of a  Terry Crews commercial gif as my signature, but this happened... Any help? Heres the .wmv for it. If it asks for a app to open it, select movie maker or a video player

What do you use to make gifs?

I use a video converter for the gifs called any video converter, and I use windows movie maker to edit them

windows movie maker
Stop right there.
Wait actually that might do it.
You can use any vidya editor to cut out stuff but you have to convert it to .gif after cutting out.
Also make sure the framerate is right.

Also make sure the framerate is right.
Thats what I need help with. Finding what frame to cut out

Try finding a video editor to export them to .png then export them inti a new folder (this will be about 300 files) export it, then go into gim and clcik Open Pictures as layers, select all the pictures you just exported.

Eww gimp. Anyways, can I do the same thing with paint.net?
EDIT: Im confused on what your trying to say

Whats the source framerate?
Anyway its probably 30 fps.
When I make gifs I just open the video file in after effects, export it to PNG sequence or .mov file.
Import all the files on a timeline in photoshop en export for web (.gif)

Video files are 9 out of 10 in 30FPS.

Not unless you have an animated filetype plugin. Paint.net does not have animation support by default.

Eww gimp.
What's wrong with GIMP? I liked it better than paint.net ever since trying it out.
