Author Topic: Milkshape 3D animation..  (Read 1126 times)

How? I tried messing around, searching, Googling... ect. I need just a small basic tutorial like:
1:Set frame (How?)
2:Save Frame (How?)
I just need really how to set a frame. I'm working on something that I'm going to need to animate to look realistic.

EDIT: I now need how to make the skeleton so that when I move the joint, the model moves with it.
EDIT2: I got animating down... how do I save the animation as one so I can create another? I also need to know where, and what to put for the animation name. So far I have it when a person is walking (Which I named: "FalilSwingWalking")
Where would I put this in a melee script?

I haven't tried milkshape, but I know that in many other programs, in order to animate you must first set up a skeleton like frame for the model.
Also, I don't think it'll be anything different then as described by the link given, even though it talks about HL2.

[It was the first link google gave me, for god's sake just use google next time]

I did... but do I really need a skeleton? >:\

EDIT: I guess so.. but how the forget do I make a skeleton? Vertexes? I so... how do I link them to make the skeleton?

For the skeleton?
Damn... ok. Thanks.
EDIT: But... how2mount joints to Models to move them? Sorry I'm asking so much..

Okay first set up your joints then select your vertexes you want for the joint, once you select assign them to it. then whats there all assigned Set the key frame or whatever then go to like frame 5 and rotate one of the joints then set the key frame again then play the animation and yeah thats how it works if you need more help pm me.

1: Thanks.
2: I can't PM. :\ IDK why.
