Author Topic: GPU acting up  (Read 1291 times)

so about 10 minutes ago my screen froze all of a sudden for a few seconds then a notification pops up about a driver failing and recovering
anyway this scared me so i updated my drivers, and i'm running virus scans rn
and now it says i can safely eject my gpu (an evga gtx 970 btw)

please help :(

dang. im having some problems myself because its so old :(

eject it before the crash!

serious: open up your computer, clear dust and re-set your GPU and RAM. check cable connections also.

uninstall drivers, reinstall drivers

The GPU ejection thing is a bug with the latest driver update, I've heard it has something to do with.... thunderbolt connection support? Not sure.

how far do you think that gpu can fly when it ejects

I actually tried it before; it just turns the screen off then realizes it needs a graphics card so the screen comes back on but it tells you the GPU is "safe to remove"

Nvidia already patch updated drivers to fix the eject bug.
Means you dont have the update.
