Why did CloudFlare suddenly block me?

For some reason, I was right in the middle of a topic when CloudFlare gave me a red cross with a message saying I was blocked from that page. It didn't specify it was a ban, it just said I was disallowed to access the domain. I did http://blockland.us and it worked like normal - what could have caused this?

I'm assuming an IP ban - IP bans aren't reliable because once you reboot your router, you are given a new IP address, and the banned user can just reset their modem to gain a new IP and have access.

rangeblocking that your router happens to half-overlap with?

every once in a while cloudflare blocks a request
sometimes it can be hard to tell why, but other times it's pretty clear
they don't usually ban you, though, which is why you didn't have any more trouble after the first time it happened, until the second time it did

I can't tell you why it happened to you, and it's unlikely that anyone but cloudflare could, but one thing that can cause it is including script tags in a message

I've been blocked from posting certain posts before because of CloudFlare's filtering.  It can't magically differentiate between legitimate data that coincidentally contains some text that appears to be SQL or something. So there are a lot of false positives.

I do believe it is effective to a fault.
