Author Topic: How can I earn more ad money on youtube?  (Read 486 times)

I don't know what's going on but I'm earning significantly less ad money on youtube per month.

My channel is not popular but I use to get at least around 10 dollars per month. I just received a whopping 0.87 cents on youtube for the entire month of january!

What can I do? Did they change the ad sense policy again?

It's more than likely Youtube has changed their ad policy, so I suggest you read their updated EULA and Terms of Services, and attempt to contact a representative and express the issue, and they will probably give you the answer you're looking for.

Advertisers only pay when someone clicks an ad or watches for 30 seconds.  This is why you can’t tie your channel views to dollars.  If your video gets ten million views but nobody watches or click the ads, you don’t make any money.  This is how I’m able to make $1 per 25 views.  Advertisers pay big money to get their ad in front of specific and targeted audience.

This seems interesting.

Oh stuff I didn't know I can set a demographic. My stuff was set to like men and women 1 through 65+ lol

I had to block 288 low CPC urls.

So I'm bumping because I got some actual results. This is good advice for anyone collecting money off youtube.

I blocked over 200+ advertisements on my channel. These ads are the lowest of the lowest paying ads. They probably pay me half a cent for every click. So now with over 200 of these blocked I am forced to receive higher paying advertisements.

I actually got an increase in payment.

I get about 2 views/month
