Author Topic: Guitar that I can buy that sounds similar to a Martin D-28  (Read 529 times)

Im looking to buy a nice acoustic guitar, I want to switch from electric with a pick to using my fingers on an acoustic.

A martin D-28 costs around 3400 dollars according to Martin's site, but sounds so lovely and also looks really nice.

I first found of it via John Prine, who has used the same D-28 ever since 1961.

Im within the price range of 500 dollars but just suggest nice acoustic guitars with a deep sound.

>guitar that's 3400
>wants one that sounds like it for 500

You're really pushing it bub

But the PRS Angelus has close construction, and PRS always makes top notch as forget guitars

Its got a very similar construction to the D-28, only exception is the back and sides are mahogany instead of rosewood. Mahogany has a natural frequency response in the lows however, so you'll be getting a low-end rich sound like you asked.

"Owned a SE Angelus Custom. The sound if you are finger pick is amazing."
"This guitar is for finger picking due to the more balanced sound."

This guitar is literally for you.
