Author Topic: Setting up a home network, need a bit of help.  (Read 773 times)

Hey guys, so I've setup an office in my house, and I've put my computer and my family's computer in here. I'm wanting to setup a network between them, but one is has a wireless connection (family) and one has a wired connection (mine).

Any help or tips on how to do this?

Did you try turning it off and on again?

For real, does your computer have the ability to detect?

What you do is setup a DHCP server on your WAN port and wait for your ISP to kill you.

pretty much to share files between them, and stuff like that. I think i might have figured it out though

If they're using the same router to connect to the internet, the computers should already be able to see each other. Unless you turned off network discovery and sharing or something.
