Author Topic: Why does blockland have this glitch?  (Read 1170 times)

Sometimes when I start up a server nobody is able to join it because I changed the name of the server too many times EVEN if player count is not 1/0 players, its annoying and it took me forever to fix it.... :c

I don't think that's really a glitch, the server basically sends your server's name, your name, your server's port, gamemode name and if the server is passworded, which is all here: master2.blockland.us

I'm not sure how it could be messing up your server like that

I don't see why that would cause a problem with connections, is your Blockland behind any firewalls? It could be a misconfiguration in that? I don't think the master server has any blocks involved for webcom_postserver cmds, who knows?

maybe it's just that no one wants to join  :cookieMonster:

And then you're pissed off when we call you a stuffposter...

Pretty sure your ports were closed. If you're using port forwarding you need to reopen those ports.

Crystal is correct
But While it might be a problem with closed ports, I think you also gotta do something with UPNP.
All in all most of the time it has something to do with packet routing, or firewall config, or some other networking issue.
Or perhaps its just that noone wants to join. This is unlikely to happen, but its possible, im just ballparking here

UPnP doesn't always work
