Author Topic: A map from BrickForce that I made but remade in Blockland  (Read 1283 times)

Several years ago, I was playing BrickForce (a block game much like Blockland but its very tdm/dm/ctf/whateverelse-esque instead of just simply building) and I made a map on there. It was pretty cool, I guess. People played on it (not that it matters lol). I just had remembered it like 3-4 days ago and wanted to rebuild it (and make it better) in Blockland. The map I made in BrickForce had a parallel blue and red base and had some roads and a upper level so you could fight people above the ground.

So, after like 3-4 days (not really entire days, more like the few hours i have after school) of work I made this map/save that is good(?) for team deathmatch things. Its pretty similar to the map I made on BrickForce, but you know, Blockland-y. (whatever)

The map is purely parallel (probably) and purely made out of the default bricks and default paint set, so if you ever want to take it as your own, you don't need to download any add-ons at all. Well, except Slayer and the weapon add-ons that I'll add soon (duh) (credit me if you do so or something lol)

The map/save isn't really done (its v0.3 to me anyways lol) as I still need to place down weapon spawns and probably a few bots here and there and figure out how slayer works and probably add vehicles.

Here's the album (i have zero idea how to paste images on here so if someone could do that for me/provide an explanation as to how i should do this that would be great)

Image #1: Overhead view of the map.
Image #2: Blue base/spawn. (also me) Press the console button print thingies to open the doors outside.
Image #3: Red base/spawn. Same as ^ but red.
Image #4: The 'spire' (working name) where you can attempt to get the most powerful weapons (at the risk of literally the enemy team trying to shoot you and probably knocking you off)
Image #5: Some of the areas you can fight in (added barricades because barricades are cool) Weak/decent weapons are going to be scattered here.
Image #6: A bridge to lead you to the top levels so you can shoot the other team while your team below shoots the other team. (a thing that made the brickforce map i made more fun instead of running into the enemy and getting your face shot off. you can basically strategically plan your advance on the red base.) More decent/better weapons can be located up here.

You can rate if you want, I honestly just want your opinion and probably some suggestions on this map/save I made. When I finish it, I'll try to host this and see if you guys enjoy it. And then I'll probably give it to someone, I don't know. I'll get more pictures if you need them.

I plan to add:
  • neutral flag for bonus points
  • weapon spawns
  • bot spawns (maybe)
  • the slayer addon to this thing, duh
  • vehicles (probably not a good idea but oh well)
  • borders for the map because it's not fun when everyones literally going to the farlands or something on foot or in a jeep

How to post images:
1. Right click on the image and copy the image address.

2. Go back onto blockland forums, and click the picture button.

3. Put your image into that tag:

4. If it needs to be re sized, you can re size it with width and height tags, as shown here:

Original:

Width 800: img width=800

Height 500: img height=500

You can quote my post, if you need to see further how to use img tags.

Pertaining to the build:
Pretty nice. I like it. 7.741/10

thanks dragonoid
i'll update OP with the pictures

brickforce was fun until they added the rental system
when it came back on steam and was pay-to-play (but i got it for free ::^^)) ) it was fun again
and then they made it free

ot: it looks pretty bland imo, there's not really any detail or cover.
it looks like it could be good if you just give it some details

not really much room for details when it comes to default bricks and default paint set lol
i'll try to see if i can add some detail to stuff
