like a USB you plug in and your computer can have wifi?

I search this up I'm a little confused

Uh, do you mean a USB adapter you can plug in to be able to connect to a Wireless network, or like a USB adapter you plug in to be able to connect anywhere, like in a car or something?

You only need ethernet if you're willing to always have a cord to your computer

As well as lower ping, better stability, and if you're transferring files via LAN, or if you've got some insane internet connection, being able to utilize full speed.

unless your dad disables your internet but you know a network secretly you can connect with wifi

Ethernet sucks unless you have bad wireless connection.

How the heck can you transfer file via Ethernet? I never managed to pull it off
Would I need a Crossover or a standard cable?

Typically through your router. If every computer on your network is using windows you could just use that homegroup stuff. Otherwise, there's network sharing and local webservers.
