Steam forum revamp

People have to moderate those boards though, or else they go downhill really quickly. None of us care enough about the Steam forum to actually put time into moderating it. (and it takes a lot)

So let them go downhill (or elect mods who actually want to moderate)? I'd rather have a crappy forum that a nearly-inaccessible one.

yeah but then players who would never have heard of the blf would come to steam discussions first, and all they would see is total dumbness and almost unmoderated richardery

The point is to make them inaccessible.

Create a new sub-forum called "trash". Then write a bot to automatically move all topics there and lock them. Have one sticky topic in general discussion saying "this forum is not being used".

If you think the new Steam posters will be idiots, the idiots will just start posting on the BLF, and making it look bad. It's not like idiots are just gonna wander off when they get a technical problem.
