Author Topic: I think I have a terrible sense of smell  (Read 295 times)

Been thinking about this for a while
I only seem to smell really strong scents. Like ehm... Strong perfume. Or cigs
If someone says it smells bad in my room I literally cant smell it. Maybe it because I sit in it all day. But that doesnt matter because they say it no matter wich room and I cant smell it.
Same is with food. Food has almost no taste for me except the basic stuff like sweet or bitter or whatever. The only way I can tell food apart is either with my eyes or how it feels in my mouth. If I where to describe how, Iduno, Say fries taste like i'd say it tastes like a tastless grey goo unless I either add a stuffton of mayonaise or ketchup. The hell, cant even tasta what chicken tastes like unless its mcdonalds because theyre salty and sweet af. To confirm I just tried eating a piece of chocolate with my nose open and closed. There is literally no difference.

Is this just me or?

my boyfriend can't smell anything that isn't strong, but i think his sense of taste is fine. except that he's weird and doesn't like most fruit.

i have allergies so a lot of the time i cant smell at all :I

also for your room/any room in your house you will not be able to smell it because it is (im assuming) your house, and the brain ignores smells that it gets very often which is why othe people'es cars/houses smell different i think
