Author Topic: why dont straight shaving razors cut you  (Read 727 times)

if they're sharp enough to cut hair why not your skin

because they're used at shallow angle, and moved in a direction perpendicular to the blade. just like safety razors

edit: I said steep angle but I actually meant the opposite, shallow

because the skin is soft enough to move rather than come into contact with the sharpest part of the razor. unless you use it at the wrong angle.

on the other hand, i'm growing out sideburns that look like pubes growing down my cheeks and loving it. they don't grow nearly fast enough. meanwhile i get a ghost mustache that looks awful if i go just a few days without shaving it

yeah i've got a great safety razor

I experimented with safety razors but didn't like them. I made the switch from Fusion Proglide to Schick Hydro 5 a few months ago and I love it.

i use a machete to cut my hairs

my entire body is slowly becoming scabs and blood

Holla

I'm still using the same gillette from aprox four years ago. I sharpen it with the rock I use to sharpen my knives and machette.

Straight razors are much better than modern ones I think
