i think itd be fun to make a game with goldsrc

its been on my list of things to start for quite some time now. ive worked with source and eagerly await source 2, but for some reason goldsrc seems like itd be the most fun to work with. can anyone confirm? ive toyed with it but haven't worked with it. i assume its really similar to source

I know this is like a month old post but I'll reply anyway.
For me goldsrc was kinda fun, but when I moved to source it added so many more conveniences that I really didn't want to go back. One example is actually seeing the entities you put in your map in the editor instead of having to compile and play.

how do i fix what is going on in the water?

did you put one of those waterLOD thingy objects on top of it? i forget its name but it looks like a reflective sphere

I've made a couple maps.
My first one is practically the worst one ever made, second one got alright with some updates, third and fourth ones look p good imo with the displacements
