Megathreads are solely reserved for single topics such a specific work of fiction or a specific world event so relevant discussion can be kept in the thread without it branching off to a thousand short-lived threads while also being a hub for news updates related to said topic. There is absolutely no reason to make a megathread because people are talking about a broad topic like movies. There is nothing to get out of a movie megathread.
