If that was the case then BLM wouldn't have anything to complain about amirite?

a good place to start is self-recognition
from there, pretty good chance they have the intellectual capacity to recognize and understand their own mortality

hey at least we're immortal. i can drink as much lean as i want without severe consequences to my health

You mean that one you supposedly drank that you posted a topic about? Thanks for making a reference to that, I almost forgot how much of a hypocrite you are.

animals understand death what are you on about

How much longer is this Harambe cringe cancer gonna exist

A gorilla is the worst example you could have used in the op considering they're probably the most human-like animals...

Many animals are completely aware of when theyre going to die anyways. When I used to live with my parents, we had outdoor cats and almost every time one of them were sick and dying they would try to curl up in a secluded place where nobody would find them.

I really dont see how awareness has anything to do with biological transience in the first place.

i think if an animal doesn't have a concept of self, it cannot comprehend death
animals handle death differently by instinct

without real understanding of their own consciousness and wondering what is beyond death, if they will have an afterlife, etc...
they are just reacting and dealing with the situation in the present.

i know lobsters, turtles, and crocodiles (or alligators?) are, but i'm not sure of any others.

its more like aging is a phenomena that doesnt really apply to them, because their cells replenish themselves completely with no problems, i believe. like they go from baby to adult, but never senior citizen mode like mammals do, because their cells arent replaced with lesser cells the older they get.

don't have a source, just trying to roughly quote what i remember my chemistry teacher saying a while ago.

this basically. without a concept of death you never worry about dying aka immortal. when you do die, you wouldn't be afraid because you dont even know what death is

ignorance is bliss
